NYC Imagine Awards -- AFJ is a Finalist!

The Inaugural New York City Imagine Awards, the premier event that shines the spotlight on the nonprofit sector, will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. This event has been a mainstay of the Long Island nonprofit sector for the last eight years, and this year will be the first year within the five boroughs. 

This gala event was created to offer formal acknowledgment to some of the City’s most effective and innovative nonprofit organizations. 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in and/or significantly serving The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens or Staten Island are eligible to apply across five categories, Arts & Culture; Innovation; Leadership Excellence; Rising Star; & Social Impact, with the winner in each category winning a $5,000 grant.

Avenues for Justice is honored to be a finalist in the category for Leadership Excellence. We have been selected through a rigorous process because of the decades long service and dedication of AFJ's Executive Director and Co-Founder, Angel Rodriguez. 

Between now and September 20th, there will be a FAN FAVORITE voting process. Each voter can submit a new vote every day and the winner will be honored at the gala on October 19th with a $3,000 check!
